Papa Chico signs

These are road/street signs I created using an image of my grandpa, Papa Chico. He was a bracero when he first came to the United States from Mexico. He worked in the fields as many migrant workers did.















































I became interested in road signs because of their combination of simplicity and strength. Road signs are designed to deliver clear and quick instructions/directions.
